Mike was out working on the picnic table launch last night. He was mixing it in by hand. His test on the picnic table should be pretty accurate for what we could do by watering the lips.  If his test doesn't work, then watering the lips with soiltec probably won't work either and we will have to come up with something else.  One idea might be to bore holes to let the soiltec penetrate better.

I think the best time to do this would be in the spring when everything's wet and we do the first lip shaping of the year.

Cool, it will be interesting to see how the table jump turns out.

I'm guessing the stuff is pretty forgiving as long as you somewhat adhere to the directions but we'll just have to see.

We may have to wait till next year but I would like to get it on the roll ins. Those get screwed up every time it rains and as long as the roll ins are fast, you can get away with lips that are a little rolled off or rough.

Even if we just covered the surface it would do wonders compared to it being bare literally the dirt will all slide down to the bottom and middle of the jumps so everytime it
rains we have to reshape and re lip the jumps i bet the soiltech will stop it all from slopping down the jumps

 When I redid it I got it too wet and I couldn't pack it in too hard and when it rained it all cracked but I think    If I just get it all wet and pack it in it should be good to go.

I figured it will probably be a bit of trial and error to get it just right. Any updates on the soil tech?

I can finally move my knee a little bit. What a gigantic mess that turned out to be..lol. Looking to get back at the park in a few days and do some work. If the soil tech is still up in the air hopefully I can run some tests and get that stuff down in some key areas.

Regarding soiltec I would say that anytime you are using water, mix some soiltec in with it.  It seems like we will need a lot of it penetrated to 5 or 6 inches deep to make much of a difference.
