Hate to beat the dead post, but I really wish I read this in August.......
Late Aug. I stopped at Maple East for a quick rest when a guy got out of his backed-up Caddy and walked about 15ft in the woods behind me.
Crazy, same thing happened to me about 10 years ago in the same spot. I was riding some wheelies in the lot and he drove up and complimented me. It an older guy. The guy was a real salesman type. He quickly changed the subject. Sorry to get graphic but the guy started talking about "a mouth is a mouth" and some stomach turning crap along those lines. I could not believe it. Sexual preferences are a personal choice but man, keep it out of my face. What scares me is if he is approaching impressionable people. I was 25 at the time and it was creepy and awkward enough to stick in my mind like glue.

Small detail change, it was roughly 7 years ago, not 10.

I just want to ask is MAPLE EAST the number 1 spot for guys to meet? I started parking there more to explore the trails on the east side of willow springs road. The place is busy as hell! Cars pulling in left and right eyeballing any single guy whos out there. WTF My story was at SWK my buddy and I were loading up our bikes when a guy was backed in a truck staring at us. When we made eye contact he said hello. We nodded and continued to load up. When we were pulling away I did notice his D*ck was out and he was masterbating to us (isnt there internet for that?) Should I be flattered lol Just kidding. It was nasty. If his shit wasnt out I would have said something instead we just left.

That guy is less than 1 degree from committing a sexual assault and definitely warranted a call to the PD.

no! Not SWK! Shoot, I thought it was safe there. Yep, call the cops. I'm good with sharing the trails, but not with creeps. Someone on here while at Palos, has taken pics at of their license or even faked taking a picture & it got him to leave in a hurry.

A great attribute of CAMBr is that despite certain diversities, different people can come to an agreement that, when it comes right down to it, the ride is all that matters.

If I wasnt pulling away I would have. My buddy and I were like did that really just happen? I guess we were too shocked that actually happened and by the time I thought to call the cops he would have been long gone. He might of left some dna out there though Yes I also can't believe it happened at SWK. I am more aware of it now and have no problem calling people out I see

There may still be hope!!! He said "pulling away", as opposed to "pulling out", which implies that no entry has been made terrible.

I finished a ride at Fabyan a couple years ago and noticed that a man who was driving a mini van and backed had his passenger window down and was staring at me as I loaded my bike into the car. I looked up again to see him recording me with a video camera. I approached his vehicle (passenger window was down so he could film me better). And as I came up he scrambled and started deleting the video or something. While I stood at his door, he looked down at the camera like he was working on it and he pretended I wasn't there. I asked him why he was recording me, he denied it. The dude was about 220lbs and I'm 150 at the time so I wasn't looking to get more aggressive. I went behind his van and wrote down his license plate #. As I was doing that, he literally threw it in drive and burned rubber out of the lot. I jumped in my car and followed him a for a couple miles to put some extra spook in him. I didn't see him back at Fabyan that summer.

I've ridden up on 2 buisness like dressed dudes in Fayban who were pretending to be hiking along, although the look of guilt and shock on their faces lead me to believe I suprised them. Although I think Fayban is known for that, which is why the cops look the other way when we ride there.
Jimmy Culver and I were riding at SWK a few years back, and we road up on a nekid dude in the middle of the path, who turnned saw us, and booked into the woods. Was gone faster than lightening. No idea what that was about, but I suspect there was someone else out there with him, who saw us coming and bolted before the other one did.
I think SWK is pretty safe though. I really don't see any cars there at all, besides bikers. None of that parked backwards stuff you see so often at Palos.
Amazing how many of these fuggers there are.

Running naked through the poison ivy at SWK? I guess there is some justice in the world.

I find kids at SWK that look kind of shady pretty frequently. The cambr freeway was smelling extra "piney" last week.
