I'll be tent camping and biking at Kettle Morraine John Muir Trails this weekend Saturday through Monday (or Tuesday) (assuming the trails open after the rain).

My sister-in-law, who is a decent road rider, but who has never mountain biked on single track, will be joining me for a girls get-away-camping gig for a couple nights this weekend. There are a couple of other riders who are faster riders (guys and gals for the rides), whom I'm meeting up there just for the day on Saturday or Sunday. Jane and I have to ourselves, the whole group campsite at Circle K Campground, which can accomodate many tents.  So we have room for more tents. How about a ladies camp-and-ride for Saturday night ? And you can be back in time for the Palos Labor Day Ladies Ride on Monday morning! Or just join us for a day ride on Saturdy or Sunday!

I may have an extra tent available if my 26-year old daughter does not join us.

Camping is $25 per tent per night. Tables and fire pit provided on site.

I don't recommend the Circle K Campground. Nuf Said.

I would opt for the campground at the Kettle Morraine State Park instead.

However, the stars in the open Wisconsin sky were magnificent, the sounds of the great horned owls and coyotes at night were mesmarizing, the proximity to the Kettle Morraine bike trails was great, and the weather was cold and damp (down to 46 at night).

I have camped at the Whitewater campground a couple of times and it's pretty good.  Plus the parking fee is good for the trails and the campground.
