BTW, did somebody from Cambr go out there and undo some of their work? I could see that something had been done on that tabletop, and the flow was certainly harmed, but it didn't strike me as dangerous.

Dang. Wish I'd read this thread more closely before. I saw a couple of guys out there yesterday, one of whom had a Bianchi. Not a common bike, so could well be the same guy.

This was about 6:30 p.m. I'm not usually an evening rider (early morning is my time), so this is for anyone who typically rides then.

There were two of them, and I only saw them in the parking lot, ending their ride as I was getting in my car to leave. But the Bianchi guy had a BMX style helmet, with camoflage coloring, if I'm not mistaken. Orange shirt, but just a t-shirt, so probably not a helpful detail. RockShox DART fork, flat pedals.

I didn't see them on the trail, so I don't know if they were up to any hijinx. Probably just riding. If they went by Dominator, I'm sure they saw the sign up there, which makes the point pretty clearly.

That's definitely them.  I was riding and saw them the day they wre out there with their shovels doing the work.  Good thing I saw their bikes at the bottom of the first hill or I would have run one of them over.  I asked if they were with cambr and they had never heard of it.

I wish I was on this site a couple of weeks earlier.   I would have been a little more educated and would have known what to tell them.  To be honest I was kinda dumbfounded and just asked what the heck they were doing.

Hopefully whoever runs into them next can tell them about CAMBr.  Dom (principal snake skinner) is the trial coordinator so they can get ahold of him, Seanbikes (the prez) or come here to this site.  Don't get angry with them out there, if they don't know about CAMBr they likely don't know what they are doing is wrong.  A lot of our best CAMBr folk were once rouge trail builders who never heard of CAMBr.

Fingers crossed, they are cool and will jump on the CAMBr train.  If not, it could be bad news for SWK.

Good to see the sign's still there.    We're looking at getting a few park improvements approved, one of which will let us post signage at the 2nd lot. That should help us with getting our name out there to newbies, and laying down some park rules.

Maybe not dangerous for some but I took a nasty spill today. Went out for a casual ride to check conditions and didnt last long. Came down the hill where the new sign is and at last second realized the lip but was too late. Cleared the entire tabletop which I was not trying to do. Landed on top of my bike and can barley walk on right foot due to ankle getting pretty banged up. Not very happy at the moment. Two guys were leaving as I got there wearing BMX helmets.

I feel like if we wear uniforms, we might as well give Dom a whip...
Yea, but then he might actually have to do something.

I got them. A tall guy on a silver Trek 4300 and a shorter guy on the Bianchi with a Camo helmet. Trek guy was in a silver/blue Trailblazer (Go figure) and the Bianchi guy in a Green caddy. I asked them to keep an eye out for guys doing trail work and they said it was them. I came to update here and read about the Bianchi guy just now.

Anyway, I told them about how their work was un-appreciated and how they could focus their efforts on a workday. I schooled them on camber and they are interested on helping out on a workday. They seemed cool about it and were definitely uninformed beginners. If they post up they will be an asset to the group and may get to drop the dill hole status. If not they will remain dill holes. I did my part to educate them.

I guess they talked to Dan and he put them on to another trail, thats where I saw them. On my after work ride not at SWK. We will leave it at that.

Thanks everyone for keeping an eye out and giving these guys some guidance in the right direction.  I hope they take it to heart and we see them out at a workday.

I think they understood. I think there will be a good outcome.
