My superfly came with XDX tubeless tires which I convert them to tubeless. My question is when I eventually replace them on tubeless ready wheel what kind of tires do I get? UST, regular, or do I need to find more "tubeless ready" tires?

All tires work, but UST, Tubeless ready, or 2-Bliss are the better alternatives. Common sense will tell you that a normal tube-based tire is not the way to go, but others will disagree.

I've been running regular tires at tubeless all year, and although they work, I will be switching to a ust tire in the rear for the sidewall support because I dinged my rim once already.  I'm putting a 2-bliss tire up front for the lighter weight.  Sidewall is not AS important to me up front because of the suspension fork reducing the chance of a rim strike.

I have one bike that came with tubless tires which are fantastic and never have any problems.

My other bike, I had its original tubed tires conversted to tubless. These tires loose air and go flat eventually, but when pumped back up they work fine.  I don't ride this 2nd bike much at all, its the spare bike.  So I don't know if its the lack of motion in the tires that cause them to loose air and go flat, or if its the fact that I shouldn't ahve had the non tubless tires converted to tubless.

This is just an observation, in case this helps you at all Ryan.

I found that you are much more likely to roll of a converted tire of the rim then a tubeless tire. So for aggressive riding I will not used converted tires any more.

On my other Fisher I have Crossmax wheels which are UST so I use UST. I just wasn't sure what you use with "tubeless ready" wheels. It sucked converting the tubeless ready to tubeless, the beads would not seat with a compressor and hold air without sealant on it. The UST wheels/tires pumped up with a foot pump no problem. I was hoping UST was compatable with "tubeless ready" wheels.

+1 Bottom line is if you dont run a tube, run a ust tire for agressive riding. No matter what rim.

If you can't make the turns....take off the training wheels.

That's what I was hoping, I want UST, didn't know if could use them if the rim wasn't UST specific.
