This year the holiday party will be held at the Stone House Pub, in downtown Lemont. We have the entire lower level from 7:00 until 10:00.  After 10:00 the DJ (Disc Jockey, not Dirt Jump) fires up and the public is allowed in.  It is a really nice place.

There is a $12.00 per head cover charge that will include pizza, appetizers (nachos and the like) and salads, with a couple of pitchers of soft drinks, as well as coffee and tea. drinks.  There will be a bartender and a fully stocked cash bar available.

We will be having an optional grab bag gift exchange as well, you do not have to participate but if you want to make sure the gift is a $25 gift (it does not have to be bike related either).

A lot of people bring their significant other, so don't hesitate to make it a night out.

There is only room for about 75 people, so don't wait to sign up.

I'll be at the CAMBR party early (7-ish), and leaving early like around 8:30, as I have to catch another party (far drive) for the later part of the evening.  So if you end up running out of slots for the CAMBR party, and want to give my slot to someone else at any point, let me know and instead I'll just stop in and say hi and would skip food/beverage if you needed me to.

Thanks for organizing this folks!

Jerry is correct that the Stone House Pub is really nice. (Significant step up from prior years' location). The Stone House Pub has a very cool stone look outside and in, on both floors inside. Its a down-to-earth, but classy place. Plenty of room downstairs where party will be, to mingle or sit at tables, or sit at the bar.  Nice long bar downstairs.  Place is very clean, and smells fresh downstairs where the party will be, compared to the mold smell of the other location.  I have not tried the Stone House food, but the menu looked good when we were there for a board meeting one night.

Also, for our Northerly friends, its closer than it seems, and easty to get to.... its about 5 minutes off of Lemont Rd, and easy access from I-355.

I have to put myself down as a no right now due to prior family obligations, but if that falls through, my plan is to make the party.

The parking lot for the Stone House Pub on Google Maps looked like a decent size but perhaps not large enough for full capacity.  In the case that the lot is full, what's the best parking alternatives in downtown Lemont?

I had a good time at the party. It was nice seeing some old faces that I haven’t seen in a long time. Was also nice to meet some new ones as well. I arrived just before the start and called it a night kinda early. Made a prior commitment to volunteer early the next morning at church…setting things up…I should get off the net and go now.

P.S. I can't take credit for getting that flash working in the camera. Martha, was the hero.

Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate a very CAMBr Christmas.  It was nice to meet new members and talk to people we haven't seen in a long time. By the way MountainT you can pay Burak the $10 for pizza. Sorry it was cold when you got there.

A special thank you goes out to Beth for the decorations and Stan for arranging the venue and food.  It was perfect. Pictures will be posted later today.

I hope to see everyone at the Cocktails For Christian event on January 2nd. Martha and Fred, I promise to read my camera's owner manual before then.

Happy holidays!

I don't think i'm going to make that...have little interest in meeting a roadie. However the Xmas party was cool.

That "Roadie" is a bad ass on a MTB as well... not to mention a Hell of a nice guy.  This is for charity too, so the $25 you spend is tax deductible, plus you can win some really awesome stuff.  It is more than a win win situation... it is like a win win win situation.
