 The banshee in current form. 42lbs. This year she'll be getting a ti spring 10 speed and a lighter wheelset that should bring it to 34lbs for xc and 40 for fun :-). |

Finally have something decent to post. After rocking a mullet for the last four years, finally got to upgrade. Still a work in progress. Need a new crank and handlebars.

Yeah. Spank stiffy to saint hubs. 40mm wide. Just like the stantions on my totem. VERY stiff and strong wheelset. |

New frame bling-age.
The 'ol Bianchi SISS started cracking (like everyone else's) at the drive side chain stay. First frame I ever broke in 35 years of riding. Heavily manipulated thin guage Dedacacai steel tubing and fat guys from Illinois may be a bad combination. I was planning on having Andrew at Yellow Jersey repair the frame for a reasonable price. However my non-frugal side got the best of me and decided to buy a new frame.
SOMA Analog Tange Prestige Cro-Mo with Tange sliding dropouts. Geometry for 100mm susp. Fits these 2.4 WTB Mutano's nicely.
Really impressed with the quality of the frame & paint at this price level. Looking forward to getting it on the trails.

Almost there, just gotta bleed and cut brakes. Or maybe different colored or braided hoses? But I'm afraid I might have come across another snafu. Seems there's abit too much material in the front disc tabs. The caliper is coming in contact with the tabs when the bolts are tightened. So much so that the bolts can't be tightened without damaging the caliper. I've fixed the problem with a couple 2mm washers but I'm afraid it might affect brake performance.   |
