Well for those of you that gave up on the park due to crappy lips, rocks, dust, no landings, ruts, no flow, ect I don't blame you but I think you should come check out the park. Everything is close to being worked out on the 3rd/4th lines and all jumps including doubles, transfers and step up are now ready to ride as soon as they dry out a bit we don't have many pictures but the transfers get as big as 26ft so bring the mtb out and give it a shot let us know what we need to change  Here a link to us testing the small transfer and the 1st double. http://youtu.be/wIaH0QU5_jk

The place looks good for sure. All the guys put in a full day and moved a bunch of dirt. Really made a difference.

Donovan, you think there is enough dirt lying around the park to add to the back sides of the jumps to make them a little longer. I was thinking if there is, I would just rent one of these things and we could probably do it in less than a day. It's cheap and smaller than a bobcat so we can get in to the tight spaces to shave some dirt from the sides of the jumps.

Anybody ever use one these? I'd be willing to rent one this week if it's cool with everybody.

Yeah if we shaved and trimmed all the sides and took out the piles covered in grass between the lines we should definitely have enough clay to cover landings I'd be willing to help sunrise to sundown all week if needed I'm going to bring that propane torch attachment so we can clear the weeds for good for a while to see the dirt underneath for clay or fill. We should borrow a truck for a day or maybe someones pickup for clay since everyone is relying on free dirt with free delivery which is pretty pointless I'd be willing to throw down whatever money I have for that rental for a day or so too.

If Marley and Sean are cool with the rental, CAMBr will pay for whatever.  You guys should never pay for anything out of your own pockets, we have a budget and money, so CAMBr can pay for things.  Between membership dues, grants, and Dirt Jam profits, there is plenty of money.  Try talking people into keeping their memberships current and we will always have cash.

We do need to give the park district at least 2 days notice if we have anything machine / vehicle out there, so give me a heads up so I can let them know.

I've been interested in testing the effectiveness of a walk behind like the Toro Dingo or something from another brand.  Let's price out the rental, get Mark a heads up of when we want to do this so we can notify the Park District and make it happen.

One of the newer guys might have a line on some clay this week. So I'll wait to hear from him in case that comes through.

After that I'll pick a day to get it.

That's also why I wanted to get it, to test it out. If it makes a big difference, it's worth it to grab it a few weekends here and there to help with the work.

The workweeks with the bobcat are cool, but those are a little too intense I think. Working 7 full days in the sun and heat is too much to ask from people. Having a more flexible alternative like the smaller version might work better.

The fourth line is FUN!! I rode it a bunch of times. It reminds me of an old challenge park jump line.  Great job guys!

Please don't use torches at the park without me knowing about it and clearing it with the PTPD.

We've used the walk behinds before, they're ok, but much slower.  Bobcat would be better even if just for a weekend.  We are going to have a lot of dirt to move soon.

26 ft ha, you guys need to learn some maitnence on the jumps. Water the jumps before riding, I can see it crumbling in your video.
