Make a tire recomendation, and if you say Nevegal front / small block rear, may you be attacked by an army of midgets with hammers.
You want someone to make a tire recomendation for you when there is nothing stated about the type of trails or type of riding you enjoy doing?  I don't even know where you fall into the speed chart;D  I would recommend a different tire for a slow/medium rider vs a medium/fast rider.

So either tire would be good for a medium/medium rider?

If you are getting advice from me, I would strongly suggest you get a second opinion.

Unless of course said medium/medium rider rides a fat front bike which of course is another topic all together!

so what would you guys recommend for slightly damp/greasy conditions such as the ones we had during this year's meltdown?
I'll be most likely entering WORS next year and i'm expecting to find most of the early races with similar conditions.

yes, but not for me. Just riders in general. More of a tire discussion thread.

Stopped by REI last night and wandered near the tire rack, and picked up 2 Continental Mountain Kings 2.2 for $14.99 each!!!! They are the original design, and not the new ones that came out last season. I got the last 2, so don't bother running up there for those. They did have some Trail Kings and Race Kings though.

$14.99!

I picked up a pair of Panaracer Smokes for ten bucks at the Harper swap meet.  They did outstanding in the snow this winter.
