I was thinking it might be about time for an updated SWK map.

The map has gotten better and better over the years, but two trails are missing from it right now -- (1) the link between IFG and Plateau and (2) the alternative to the big hill on Colossus.

I like to have a copy of the map with me to give out to newbies (of which we're seeing more and more these days). The more accurate, the better.

FWIW, I have PhotoShop/Illustrator skills and would be happy to help out with this.

Eric, I have intended to get an updated map, but I need to meet with the OPD to get their new map, with colors, closed trails and hopefully numbers. Yes, there are some trails that aren't actually open anymore, though usage might say otherwise (the loopback on Vertical Velocity for one). And technically, one of the trails you referenced are not legit so I don't think I can add it. Maybe a future update I can mark it as a trail that's not officially part of the system... Really, the closed/non-legit trails means we can't work on them. We can encourage people to not use them, but as volunteers we don't have authority to police the place.

Anyway, yes a new map is needed. If the trail numbers, at least the intersection numbers, are not on the OPD map, then we'll need to gather those to ad them correctly. A map update release ought to follow shortly after that.

Are you referencing the intersection on V V that is at the last hill when traveling west to east? That's my favorite loop and didnt realize it should not be used, sorry if that's the case. I'll no longer go that way if so.

I think so... you ride to the T intersection, the loopback is a left and the climb that then drops into the quarry is a right.

Yep, that's it. That stinks, but I'm sure there is reason for it Have to work in a new loop...
