Just thought I'd pass this info along for those who don't know...

Chestnut Mtn in Galena is open till midnight on Fridays in January and February. It usually isn't too busy and the crowds die down around 8:00 for sure. For the past couple years I've been cutting work by 4:00 and we usually get up there around 6:30 or 7:00 and ski till midnight. I think lift tickets may even be discounted on some days (usually $35 after 4). I think there were a couple weeks where they were buy one get one half off or something. I usually try and make it up there 3 or 4 times a year. It's a bit closer than Devils Head or Cascade. The runs might be a little bit shorter. Not going to say any of those places offer what i'd consider "good skiing" but any skiing is better than no skiing.
