When we did this ride at KK last year it was 9 degrees out. Still, it was a good time.

I'm ready!

That was a fun ride.

I'll be out late morning, maybe 11 or noonish.  I need to make sure my wife who works nights gets some sleep and then I can ride.  Text me 6three0 two47 8onine2 around 10 and I should know when I'll be out.

We did 1 lap of everything this morning at 8. Outer widetrack is rough because it's deep. Best spot was the bigger inner loop cause a few fat-bikers had cut out a nice wide rut for us. If I was going back out I'd stay on the 2 inner singletrack loops and skip the rest.

It was certainly hard work, but I'm glad we got out there. I can't wait for you fat bikers to get out & blaze more trail for those of us who are less girthy wheeled.

It was hard work and I got a flat. Still, looking back, it was beautiful out and with good company. That makes for a good time. Some more cell phone photos.

Ended up getting there around 11:30. Parked on the Knoch Knolls road side so that wasn't ideal. Once we got to the top though met up with a guy on a Surly that suggested we dump some air pressure and helped pack it ahead of us. We did 3 laps on the inner loop and it was awesome. 4 or 5 mi in the snow makes the legs feel like 10...what a great life on a MTB! Thanks to our guide and snowplow. Tomorrow anyone?

Thanks for three pics Fred. It was great to see you out there.

Greg, it is Greg, right? I'll be out tomorrow. Maybe 8-8:30.

Wish I could make it tomorrow. It was nice getting out there good and early. Might have to make it a habit. Those pics look great. My bowling ball helmet was a little too warm today though.

Yep, it is Greg. Doesn't look as though I can make it early now...thanks though. Might try to hit SWK later in the afternoon.

i never got around to doing a trail snowride. just a handful of street ones in the mid 90s on a hardtail.
the pain of whacking your tailbone on an icy patch is one hell of a deterrent.
snow is like my sister's kids.. fun to see every once in a while, but i wouldnt want to take it home with me
