Hello my fellow CAMBr forumites! It is once again closing in on that time of year where we need your help to run the Meltdown. Please contact me via PM to tell me if you can come out and help on the 5th. We had a great turnout last year which lead to a great race considering the weather we had so let's see if we can do even better then last year!
As a change this year I am going to be looking for people to help coordinate things on the day of the race to try and make things go more smoothly. So let me know if you are interested in being in charge of any specific jobs during the race. Sorry Marcin, official beer taster job has already been spoken for! Maybe you can do pizza taster?

So is this Rob or R.O.B.ot answering this thread? Or did R.O.B.ot respond in the other thread? Now I am starting to get worried.

Hey Scott,
I'm up for doing registration and race marshall for a couple of the later races. (I'll likely ride novice.)
Depending on the day, I can also help getting packets together.

I imagine Alanna and I will be running the tent again, handling the swag stuff, and doing plenty of beer tasting. Mark us down Scotty.

I already was counting on the two of you for that Marcin.
I also wanted to remind people that the race is a short three months away. Some things to remember about how volunteering helps CAMBr South build and maintain the trails we all love to ride at Palos. How you may ask? Well let me tell you. The Meltdown is the biggest source of fund raising which allows the purchase of tools and other things that are needed to build and maintain the above trails. So please help us to keep adding new trail and keep the ones we have in top shape so that everyone can enjoy them! Look forward to hearing from everyone who wants to help. If anyone is interested in owning the parking lot this year let me know.
Scott

Thanks Rich. Good to have you on board.
We still need volunteers so do not be shy people. Just to give people an idea we need at least 45 volunteers and I have around a dozen so far.

Hey is this mike on? Must not be because volunteers have been few and far between lately besides the usual suspects. The next 10 people who volunteer will get their choice of primo spots to course marshal. Rumor has it the course might be a figure eight of death so medical experience is a plus!

Thank you all who have volunteered that I have not gotten back to. We will get you onto a ravine Marty! Looking forward to seeing you all out there in three weeks. I will get the list up by Saturday night so if I have missed anyone or your plans have changed please let me know. It's crunch time and the boss, I mean Ben is cracking the whip. For good reason.

Hey All,
My name is Fritz Hayden with Rbikes.com. I can help out with bike patrol/ course marshal. I am licensed/work as an EMT-B. I will be racing Comp-Cat2. I originally posted this on the Facebook group and Krzysztof told me to post here and Scott would contact me directly. PM me if you need my contact info.
Thanks, Fritz

I have some bad news for everyone who was looking forward to parking lot duty. Burak told me yesterday that the CCFPDPD is going to have an office handling that for us this year. I know that anyone who has done parking lot duty is just crushed at this point! I also plan on getting a preliminary list of what everyone is going to be doing up later today after I take care of a few other things. Scott
