Sheriffs police were at SWKs parking lots appearing to ID the vehicles parked there. I have no idea what they are looking for. Is this normal, is there trouble reported, or is "Big Brother" going to annoy us?
Any ideas?

I'm guessing slow day at the office.

I'm pretty sure it had to do with the bluegrass festival going on at the campground this weekend. We ran into a couple guys on bmx bikes that said he was warning them about parking their cars there overnight. We also ran into an officer hiking back looking for drinkers on the trail. Glad to see them really. Lots of yahoos sans helmets tonight.

Bingo.  There's never been a problem with Sheriff's Police hassling legitimate park users and I don't expect it to start.
