GROUP RIDE THIS FRIDAY AT PALOS:
We are planning to ride at Palos this Friday July 6th at 8am. Meet in
the Maple Lake parking lot at the bottom of the lot closest to Wolf
Road if you would like to join us. It's the 1st lot on your left after
Bullfrog Lake. This will be a 2-3 hour ride at a medium to fast pace.

Here is a google map of our meet up location: http://goo.gl/maps/nYNH
and here are directions from Palatine: http://goo.gl/maps/8N4x

Intermediate or above. You can always go at your own pace or drop off if you can't keep up the whole ride. We won't be constantly hammering away for 3 hours. In this group we will wait up for others unless they are constantly way behind. If you are new to Palos come out and ride at least the 1st few trails with us. Don't be intimidated. You will have a good time and meet some fellow MTB'ers.

Okay great. I've been mountain biking casually for a few years and this past year I've really gotten into it. I'm young but I do usually partner up with a more experienced MTB'er, and I'm familiar with the Palos trails. If my plans don't change, you will see me there.

I'll join you guys for your ride if you don't mind. Probably only for about two hours. Silver pathfinder, riding a red niner.

I'm going to try and go, but might drop back if I can't keep up.

Thanks to everyone that braved the heat and made it out this morning! I think there were 12 of us there in all, a great turnout for a hot Friday morning. My car said 103 degrees when I left after a really sweaty 2 hour ride. Sorry for the hold up at the beginning, my back brake decided to stay on all of the sudden. Maybe in the end having 2 groups go out like we did worked out OK. And thank you again Dave, Mike and Eric for wrenching on my bike so I could ride the trails instead of heading home for the day.

For those of you who have not sent me your info to be added to the Northwest Mountain Bike Group go to http://www.northwestmountainbike.com/join.htm. I send out group rides via e-mail and on my facebook page, not just on the Cambr forum.

Let's all ride again when the mercury is below 100

Thanks!
