Thanks!

What stinks is you always have a few that ruin it for everyone, and that goes for all sides (bikes, horses, pedestrians, etc)

John
Wrong again, what stinks is horses

Ok so on the topic of Cemetery Hill and Trees down...I was out there yesterday and I noticed there were a few trees that were leaning over the trail but not completely down.  One in particular looked dangerous because it was being held up by an electrical cable.  Probably could fall at any time.  Hopefully not when I'm riding under it.

It's hard to explain where so I marked up the map in the attached image (I think I uploaded it correctly ?).  It was noticeable when riding the loop counter clock wise.

yes, its been this way for some time now - in fact others have posted that its a live line ITS NOT LIVE.  it is holding a large tree up for sure.  its one of the ONLY power lines and poles left except for maybe some old stuff on the Canal extreme west side.   Cem Hill is not the same property as Palos and is tied to Illinois land more-so that FPD.

Its ALWAYS a good idea to mention anything that is / could be interfering with an open trail and a possible safety concern - its nice to know someone has their head up when riding trails, nice.

John....hang in there....we need different perspectives here....just remember it is a MtnBike forum....I can remember when biker/horse relations were downright nasty. But bikers yield to horses a lot better, and horse riders have accepted us as a fact of life on the trail.
Now back to the more important topic, 2 days ago I took a quick breather on Stonehenge and thought it was odd how there was "wet mud" under my left foot.......wasnt mud.....dog doo...right ON the trail....and fresh.....I can laugh about it now....feel free to laugh at my expense .

Our relationship with the equestrians have not been any better. Both groups are working with each other. We are also working with the equestrians on providing "bike training" for the horses. Look for details to come.
We as an advocacy club do not have a problem sharing our trails. Our trails  are designed to be multiuse.

Why so negative?

Maybe I am 100% wrong but I could have sworn I read here that Horses are allowed on singletrack at Swallow Cliff and bicycles are not?

I also have not personally attacked anyone but yet I have been told I have no clue and told I am 100% wrong even though as far as I can read I am not.  I may be partially wrong and if you can site a source that says I am I will gladly admit it.
There was nothing negative about you don't have clue, you didn't. It's each persons responsibility to read the rules before using the forest preserve and you didn't. Plus when I mentioned our safety you blew it off, stating good luck with that. Then you came up short again thinking the FPD would rather have horses than bikes and you think I'm negative, Wow.

Why is it that every year we have a thread about horse poop, just to prove we can argue with each other and how dumb these threads can get?

But the good news is we made it until August this year.

So let's let this die the death it deserves and move on to more important subjects like the rise of the 650b and the death of 29ers.  Larry, you're up.

Well, I am done, I have already spoken my Peace.
I took a long ride on my 650b Mojo and am Pooped.
I do not see the 650b putting 29r's in the Cemetery.
29r's are great for rolling over when a Trees Down.
Some of those new 29r's are certainly the Dookie.
Okay, on topic as I could be, time to kill the thread!

I've been riding out there for so long, I've ingested quite a lot of the horse detrius, most of it by accident.  And it hasn't affected me at a;leteakljfao;ribvjknmldf,.gvcmao;igdkljvmoakcal.
