Use this thread for park conditions only, ex. - mud, damage, etc.
The park is constructed of dirt so if you go out there and notice you are leaving footprints or tread marks because the ground is wet/soft, don't ride.

It was bone dry last night! Some guy with an RC car was an ASS though..
Feel free to call the authorities if needed, the RC guys have been warned multiple times.

The non-emergency number is 815.436.6544
There is some No RC Car signage that will be up soon.

On the rules sign it does mention No RC cars. Most people do not know it is there.
Pointing out that rule to a visitor with an RC car and telling him that if he does not leave that I was going to call the local authorities was enough to force him to leave. Before pulling away in his car he apologized for giving me a hard time about it. Things could have gotten ugly.
Riders put too much time into the park for RCs to jack things up.
I cannot wait to see a clearly visible sign tellling the RC hobbists to find another place to play.

Just updated conditions this morning. The freeze thaw cycle is hard on pumptracks and jumps making them soft and vulnerable. Rays might be the best place to get airborne at this time.

It's going to be too wet to ride for most if not all of the winter. The only time during the winter it might be ok to ride is when we have several days in a row that are below freezing and the ground stays frozen.
With the ground either being too wet or frozen for most if not all work we use the winter to plan out what we will be working on come spring. The pump track expansion should be one of the top priorities along with some general spring cleaning once the weather is better next spring.
Workdays will be announced and on the calendar late January/early February.

I'll definitely be there to help build as well. I'd love to see the place be on par with the garden. I'll be on the lookout for a work day on the calendar.
