Sunday 8/19/2012 will be our first big workday at Raceway Woods. The power tool guys will be in the front and we will need as many people as possible to help clear out the debris. It may be best to leave the younger kids at home for this workday.

I am sure there will be some tasty food for all to enjoy afterwards.

Please join us by the silo off R31 at Raceway Woods in Carpentersville.

Hey all, just signed up. Would be extra excited to have something close to me to ride. Deer Grove is getting a bit old... Would love to lend a hand this weekend but have never participated in anything like this before. Anything I can bring to help out? I'll be coming off a really long work week, but I'd still like to pitch in some help for a couple hours.

The google map link went to the entrance off of Huntley road.  We usually meet at the entrance off of rte 31 which is closer to the trail.  Which one is correct?

Great job organizing as well as participation...and also the kind guidance from the local knowledge to those of us who were "lost as all hell" in these alien trails!!  RW has some great potential and the locals are enthusiastic and not afraid to take the lead!!!

I was diggin the rocks that emerged within the trail cut, and the switchback sections look very well designed for fun and flow.   So much of the existing trails are fall line, its great to see a well thought, sustainable trail emerge and criss-cross amongst some massive trees and thru the dips.

Let all the local businesses know your'e doing work when you frequent them on workdays - let them know MTBers are helping build up their business as well as building a fine local trail.   I passed out the 3fold fliers to McDs, TacoBell and Dunkin Donuts and they were all, "like, this is Cool!! "

I should have stuck around for chow, my golf game sucked - I lost $17.00 and swore alot.
