I'm planning to ride Wilmot with the Boy this Sunday.  It's expensive, but he is still free.  Woohoo!

There'll be enough on the ground to ski/snowboard?

That is the story.

Ride Report:

Trip and I went to Wilmot yesterday and had a great time.  The sun was shining and the snow was nice and soft.

The kid was a little nervous when we started out, he was getting a little freaked on the first chairlift ride up, and he fell getting off the first time.  We chatted about leaning forward when you unload and committing to the hill.  He did much better the second time and by the end of the day he was getting on and off the chair without any assistance from dad.  Sweet.

Here are a couple shots of him skiing:

This was the first time I have ever seen man made snow that was soft enough to play with.

So he built a snow sculpture.

Later, I helped him build a snow fort on the side of the hill.

There were only 2 runs open.  I thought this was a funny picture that shows how there wasn't snow where they didn't make it.

After skiing for a while, we took our stuff and put it by the lodge and went inside.

We had some lunch and some hot cocoa.

Trip is in it for the cocoa.

Then we went back out and skiied some more until our tickets weren't good anymore.
We enjoyed this sweet sunset over the mountain.

You know what one of the best parts of skiing with your kid is?
The peace and quiet when they are sleeping in the car on the way home.
