Been a bad year for snowmobiling too...8 deaths in an avy in BC after Christmas...and there's already been 12 fatalities in WI this year.  I was up in Cadillac last weekend, and my buddy whacked a tree with his Arctic Cat F6....he flew about 20 feet and landed in the trail but was fine.  The sled, however, was totalled.
