At 10am on March 14th, the Clark Park Advisory Council is having a workday to get some of their wild gardens in shape for spring.

We would like to have a CAMBr presence to show the council we support their work as we are asking for their support to legalize The Garden dirtjumps and pumptrack at Richard Clark Park.

After we help out with the clean up we will walk The Garden and have some discussion about the work to be done once we have approval to start working.  Then on to Kuma's Corner for some grub and beverages.

The park is located at 3400 N Rockwell St, Chicago, IL 60618-5931
We will meet at the parking lot seen here

FYI:  if you have some garden shears or snippers or whatnot, please bring them.

also:  Kuma's is pretty much the best burgers on planet earth, as such, it can be a bit busy. so come hungry, but not so hungry that you can't stand to wait for a table.

Yeah this is The Garden, the dirt jumps near Lane Tech High school and DeVry.  These won't be secret anymore, they are well on their way to being a legal dirt jump location like 9th Street in Austin and an official CAMBr location.

The park is located at 3400 N Rockwell St Chicago 60618, check the 1st post above for a link to a map for the parking lot we'll be meeting at.

We'd love to have you on board and will take any help we can get.

thanks for jumping on board man!

also, in case it wasn't clear:  this is not a workday on the track/dirtjumps.  we are just going to help out the Clark Park Advisory Council with their flower gardens.  should be a quick job.  then we can just sort of hang out, have a walk through our 'garden' and whatnot.

the CPAC has been very instrumental in getting us to where we are.  this is a small way for us to repay them for a bit of that, and establish ourselves as a positive member of the community.

we are currently in a bit of a holding pattern while the chicago parks district reviews our proposal, its being strongly backed by the CPAC and CPD, so we have a very good chance of a positive answer.  either way, we'll know soon.  if we get a thumbs up we get to pull the trigger on workdays and launch this as an official CAMBr riding destination.
