The Cannonsburg Ski Area trail is about 5.5 miles long with new trail being added monthly. A skills park is also under development in the parcel of woods between the double chair lift and the final ½ mile of the xc loop. This trail features tight, technical, sweet singletrack.
Description: These trails are on private property but are open to mountain bikers. Fun Promotions and Milk Jug Racing hold races at the ski area during the summer. Please stay off the ski hills and the property to the west to save the grass and land for the outdoor music festivals during July and August. Basically- enter from the parking lot on Cannonsburg road. Go across the little bridge and turn left in front of the ski hills- ride along the tree line and the trail starts to climb a bit. On your left you will pass an open area with old ski area equipment- about 30 yards after this you have a choice- stay straight on the now-overgrown two track or go left onto a single track. Either way- the two paths meet up about another couple hundred yards and the two track climbs to the top of the hill. The trail is now marked with white and black arrow blazes. Once up there go left and just follow the trail. It is pretty easy to follow once on it. The trail comes back toward the lodge and then goes up and down the off camber slope twice before following a gentle two track back up hill with homes on your left. Continue to follow arrows at all the intersections and you will be fine. The loop is about 5.5 miles long with new trail being added monthly. A skills park is also under development in the parcel of woods between the double chair lift and the final ½ mile of the xc loop. Thanks to the Western Chapter of the MMBA for their active role in the maintenance of this trail. Open from the Mid March until Nov. 10th
