I need a 140mm fork. I am also on a budget, so I'm looking at previous years and used. It's been a while since I shopped in this category, and I sort of lost track of what is good and what is not. Any suggestions as to what to look for?

I'd probably prefer coil and some kind of thru-axle (my front hub is a Hope ProII), although I don't consider those requirements.

Finally, this will be going on a KHS XCT-555.

For 140mm the Pike is a solid choice.

I can't seem to find a Fox for under $500. I did find a Pike for ~$350 though... so it'll probably be that.

fox is da shit, but the pike is a solid option.

don't limit yourself to coil for a trailbike.  i feel coil is superior for dh applications, but fox air is just BUDDA.
