wow that was a wild story.  The lift was going backwards for about 2 1/2 minutes hitting a wall on the bottom.

sort'a like this.... ....<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8rXiN_Oys4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8rXiN_Oys4</a>

Edit: I should explain…the video displays a test that was run on a decommissioned chair, the uphill chairs were weighted and the low speed coupling disengaged then you see the results......

I found out last night that a very good friend of mine was on the lift that night. She is still hospitalized with three broken vertebrae. Not everyone got away unscathed.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, I hope she has a quick and complete recovery.

I agree, vote w/ your $$....one can only hope a an enlightened entity like Interawest buys the place……..Devils Head has so much potential including DH/Freeriding……..

Sorry to hear that she is so badly injured.

We spent the day there yesterday, had an awesome time as usual. DH certainly does have a lot of potential.

The resort management staff was so indifferent to hosting the Cup that we were at a loss for words since the event was growing every year, as an example the last DH race alone had over 100 participants and it rained that weekend.

As the old adage goes, you reap what you sow or the fish stinks from the head down, take your pick.

I had a similar experience at Lutsen Mtn when they still allowed biking....

They wanted the $$, but put little effort in the trails.....

Wilmot was the same way when we worked with them in the past to bring in biking....

They were especially money hungry....

I'm shocked that they wouldn't try to make use of their facilities in the off season, they seem to get that out west.....
