I think Cascade has gone downhill over the last few years.
I think they have improved a lot over the last few years.
Oh man, I went to Cascade yesterday and the entire hill was ice. I'm not kidding, there was not a single run with loose snow on it.
You can't blame 'em for that. Last Thursday it was warm out, and since then it got cold, like single digit cold. Anyplace would turn bulletproof in a situation like that, and especially in a place as open and sun exposed as Cascade is.
Maybe they groomed tonight.
It will take days and days of grooming to recover from that.
In 2007-2008, they had an incredible terrain park, complete with real jumps...we're talking 50' step ups.
And they will have it again. There hasn't been much snowmaking opportunity since that last warmup and rain, so it might take a while.
Things are what you make of them. As the DG trail coordinator, I would think you would know that better than anyone.
Undercover and I had a good time playing in what they had of a park when we were there last, and the snow was excellent at the time. Watch the video and see for yourself.
