What a great weekend and first DH experience for me. Awesome job to Chad, Big J and the crew for putting up such a great event.
The run was more technical than I was expecting it to be. It was very "East Coast" and humbling I have to say but my 19 y-o son and I really enjoyed the challenge and the rides.
I want more!!

I believe that I heard that Nordic could run the lifts on weekend with at least 20 paying riders. That doesn't sound like a big number. I wish we could get more DH weekend organized there.

If this is true we need to do this.

yeah, I just wish they would do more than one race a year.  This was a really fun coarse this year, I would definitely go if they did one or two more weekends.

Correction, Chad & Bill set up the course and race so I help out when time permits.

Despite the lack of advertising and some confusion about the race format early on there were about 50 racers each day. Good feedback on the new course which flowed well and racers were able to peel off seconds from their race runs as the weekend progressed. There were some fast riders, crazy crashes    and everyone had a great time.

Thanks to those that came out and for those that didn’t you missed a good one not to mention the free beer which was a nice touch.

I wish I would have raced the second day.  I took 3 practice runs and crashed on 2 of them, not really bad, but enough   I just wasnt feeling it that day at all.  So, I just sat out the races and cheered everyone on from the sides.  Wish I would have raced, because those pictures are killer quality !!  Should have just taken it easy and made the final 2 runs, but like I said, I just wasnt feeling it that day

Bummed I couldn't make this race.  Hope they do more.  Brown County needs a legit DH race too.

You may very well get your wish since there are new things in the works so we'll bring you the updates next spring.

What do you guys think about a season kickoff race/freeride weekend in May which will take the place of the beloved and much missed Whiteknuckle?

Yep. I'll be racing in it.  Should be a great event--can't wait.  However, as I was saying--would be nice to see a more 'real/legit' downhill track and race there.  30 minute super D is far from a solid 2min, 400 vert feet drop, DH 'track'.

Do they have 400 vert feet w/ a steep enough fall line?

In Sept. we'll be looking at a resort up North w/ over 400 vert feet as a possible Midwest DH race site for 2011.

Where's Whitenuckle? I'm game for anything in May Very pumped about the rumors of plans for 2011.

The Sub-9 Super D is a 30 min race? I thought those would be shorter. I'm pissed I have to pull out of the WORS Super D this Sunday due to last minute stuff and can't race the Cannonsburg DH because you gotta be from MI. So I guess it'll be trailriding at Kettle
