Saw Wee Kee camping at Hide-a-way lakes campground

I rolled thru the campground late morning today but I didn't find anyone.    I did run into that guy on the new olive C-Dale who was looking too. Place was doing a good business—although you'd think they'd be able to fill the place on Memorial Day weekend. An Oswego friend says they had to fix a bunch of stuff to keep from losing their license. I noticed there's a new outhouse beside the sites up by the property line, though it had a board across the doors. And the pool was clean and full of swimmers! I assume they had to dump in a couple buckets of chlorine to make it safe.

We were on the opposite side of the park from the gate between the campground and Saw Wee Kee, our campsite was right off the river.  Using the campground roads it was at the end of Dead End Drive. When entering the campground from Saw Wee Kee trails if you take the trail on the right and go around the large steel gate there is a row of electric sites than look like they haven't been used in a while with overgrown doubletrack running through it. If you follow that doubletrack along the river eventually you come to a large log with stakes blocking the path and campsites on the other side.  We were camped right there on the other side of the log.  

The site was pretty decent with electric and river access which came in handy for rafting.  Also had the private multitrack to the SWK/campground gate which was nice.

The spot we normally camp at by the SWK gate had a huge rave party or something, they were loud from across the campground, and we had some idiot BLASTING his g-ride until 2:30 AM but that's to be expected there. We got some great riding in Fri night, we did a few raft trips during the day on Sat. and then I rode for 15 miles on Sat. afternoon.  

The campground had been somewhat cleaned up. There was still a lot of old rotting campers, but the bathrooms weren't bad for campground standards. I thought it was a little pricey for a site to have zero rules enforced like late night noise, but as long as you know that's what you're getting it's not too bad.
